Be Free Texas rig / JUNGLEGYM Beans Sinker Be Free Texas rig. Today, I’ll introduce a Japanese rig you may have not seen yet. This is it. BE FREE TEXAS using Jungle Gym Beans Sinker. This rig is very popular in Japan, especially for Saltwater Rockfish fishing.  Jungle Gym is a small fishing brand, which has produced lots of Rockfish gear. This is Beans Sinker, designed for fishing a rocky bottom. This unique design provides a better snag-free capability. A rig using this weight is called BE FREE TEXAS. A short version is BIFUTEKI. I guess BE FREE means “Being free from snag”. BE FREE TEXAS using Beans Sinker would be an interesting rig for all of you who love Texas, Free, and Jika rig. This sinker can be used just like a bullet weight. But the shape is totally different.  Top narrow, bottom big. Teardrop shape. This bottom-heavy shape provides a stable form when we cast a rig. Means a long-distance cast. And this also would fall vertically than the bullet weight. Just like a F

Gary Yamamoto Single Tail Grub 4" - A classic masterpiece.

Gary Yamamoto Single Tail Grub 4"  Gary Yamamoto Single Tail Grub 4". A classic masterpiece.   This lure goes along with almost any rig. Many anglers have got great success with this Gary Yamamoto classic.  In Japan, in the early 90s, rigging a Gary Grub on the small jig head was a popular setting for Largemouth Bass. Then in the 21st century, other great lures like Senko, Kut tail, and Fat Ika are coming. Japanese bass anglers quickly learned how effective they are and established best practices for them.   Now, those techniques are known as a Japanese finesse style in the U.S. Many anglers follow it to catch many fishes. Although, I don't know if it's intentional or not.  Gary Yamamoto Custom Bait no longer exists since Gary sold his company. Now the brand ahs a new name, Yamamoto Baits, and is being run by a big outdoor gear company. I saw some new lures they've introduced. They looked okay... The design looks like standard U.S. products. I mean I have a little

[Fishing Gear] Daiwa Neo Spool Band. This looks like a cool idea item..

Image
Daiwa Line keeper looks cool.  After you fish with your spinning reels, what items you're using to hold the lines on a spool? Simply hook the line on a line keeper on a spool?   I use a rubber band I got at a dollar shop.  A standard cheap rubber band just works okay. I don't have a big problem but this is *just okay*. To tightly hold the leader line on a spool, a bit of practice would be needed. I wonder are there any *perfect* products for this purpose?  Then recently, I saw this product on my Instagram.  Oh yeah.. this looks cool. But can be expensive for an alternative of a cheap rubber band, I guess...  I wanna try this, though.   View this post on Instagram A post shared by DAIWA JAPAN Products (@daiwa_japan_products) Facebook Angler.Waki   Instagram Angler.Waki  Thank you!  Angler Waki.
