I have known their name but I had never had a chance to get their lures. However, when I was browsing shops on the internet during last year's holiday shopping season, I found their lures. Hideup Stagger Original. Hideup. A small local company based in Shiga, The town of the famous Lake Biwa.. The brand has been recognized as one of the great local brands with quality soft baits. This lure, Stagger original, is the one that built up Hideup's success story. The current president of the company is Hideo Yoshida. A popular BassPro in Japan. Stagger original was designed by him. I don’t know the exact year Hideup launched this lure. I guess it could be around 20 years ago? This lure is such a long-selling classic lure. When I visited Japan last year, I found this at a tackle shop in Tokyo. This one looked so cool, right? 10 in the package, 900 Yen. Honestly say, pricy than other lures. But looked so awesome. Issei UMITARO Umahata grub Do you know the lure brand, Issei? It’s a Japanese fishing brand. Very popular in Japan. But I think they still are just a Japanese local popular brand. Issei (一誠) is a lure brand for Haruhiko Murakami's lures. Haruhiko Murakami (村上晴彦) is a real genius angler and a huge influencer. Famous for his world-shaking inventions. Drop shot rig and Neko rig. All of Issei’s products have his philosophy in them. Very well-engineered and unique. He’s still making new trends in the market. Keep evolving lure fishing. This is Issei UMITARO Umahata grub. Rig action in the water - Rockfish.   I often use a Texas rig for fishing rocky ocean shorelines. A bottom slow dragging technique and Lifting & Falling technique are very productive ways to catch Rockfish hanging around covers. Spotted Bay Bass on Yamamoto Ika w/ a Texas rig.  I've caught tons of fish. But I have never actually seen the "How all those fish makes a bite on my lure". Of course, I have a visual image of it in my mind, so that I can manipulate my rig effectively. But.. it's all guess. I really wanted to see such a critical moment.   Then... here you go! It can be used with various rigs, but above all, the body and tail were designed for a Grubbin' Buzz technique with a weightless rig.  This soft plastic has been on the market for three years in Eastern Europe and other countries. This has already been used by many anglers there.  In Japan, it sounds like grub worm is considered an out of dated lure, but only the fish could make a fair judgment.  And since they actually catch fish, we would like to distribute them in Japan as well... please wait for further news. ---  Oh my god...
